The Zambian Parliament is one of the oldest continuously functioning legislatures in the Southern African Sub-region. There are one hundred and fifty parliamentary constituencies where those aspiring to be Members of Parliament stand for elections every five years. The President is the Head of State. Zambia has an independent unicameral parliament and an independent judiciary.

The National disaster task force is housed in the Deputy Prime Ministers Office. It carries out it's mandate of disaster relief and mitigation. It is committed to providing good governance, facilitating decentralisation of government services and creating an enabling environment for the coordination of public services offered by both government and non-governmental agencies for socio-economic development, and the maximisation of the quality and security of life at all levels.

This section introduces the various government offices and will provide an overview of their work, contact details and location in the country.
